INSIDE, PART 1
SYNOPSIS
17-year-old Lily Sandover is forced to move to the new American capital of Central following her father's appointment to a higher position within the government. Lily has always been averse to involving herself in politics, despite her family's political legacy, but with the move she is thrust into the darkest heart of the regime, the Commission of the People led by the mysterious and terrifying Dana Christenson. Within months of moving to a new city and a new school, Lily finds herself navigating underground hallways filled with human experimentation done on those the American government believes to be "undesirable" citizens. While trying to keep herself from breaking under the weight of the secrets, she develops a close relationship with Mykail, an experiment of the Commission of the People given to her family as an initiation gift. Determined to change things in her country, Lily starts devising a plan with fellow Commish Kid Clark to expose the Commission of the People and bring down Dana Christenson before he can harm more people. But the longer they remain under Dana's influence, the harder it becomes to fight back.
